The ideal candidate will embody the perfect blend of multi-tasker/go-getter and people person collaborator. This person will take ownership for his/her area of responsibilities and ensure tasks are completed on time and as required. They will be ethical in their “business” dealings and respectful of others in their day-to-day interactions. Although their responsibilities involve minimal direct contact with AvMed members, they will exemplify the AvMed brand essence of “going beyond,” by being service-driven in the delivery and execution of all that they are tasked with.




The Web Content Editor position requires the ability to manage, review, approve and in some cases create the content for the AvMed website. This person will manage desktop and mobile sites to improve customer experience, customer satisfaction and business value generated. This role will have limited oversight of the external agency team and partners so that digital projects are completed as proposed – on time, within budget and with a minimum of disruption to daily activity. The Web Content Editor is essentially the lead project manager for all Web & other digital projects and thus must demonstrate an ability to organize workload and workflow. He/she must be able to write clearly and persuasively, must demonstrate the ability to employ a range of thinking and decision-making skills – “what if”, “critical” and “judicious” approaches to issues and initiatives, as well as, have the ability to manage and lead the day- to-day relationship with key business constituencies.

•             Demonstrate confidence and authority as the day-to-day voice of the digital Marketing team

•             Surfaces more complex content updates for the web to the Member Experience Committee

•             Is knowledgeable about the brand

•             Understands the internal and external process for execution

•             Confirms work is tactically correct and delivered on assignment

•             Ensures analysis is completed on a timely basis

•             Is intimately familiar with the brand's product(s), market conditions and competitors

•             Monitors and identifies implications to competitive environment

•             Manages the day to day workflow

•             Enforces adherence to quality standards for the team as set forth by senior leadership

•             Keeps Director of Marketing Communications informed with regular status

•             Obtains all critical input for project start

•             Proficiency in managing content and sites using CMS tools like Umbraco, Liferay and knowledge of Javascript, HTML, HTML5, etc.

•             Reviews creative work before routing for input and approvals

•             Develops content for the website

•             Follow-up on input/feedback/approvals required

•             Ensures revisions address requested changes

•             Ensures initial creative developed meets all the brand requirements and is on strategy

•             Reviews appropriate work in progress before routing

•             Participates in weekly internal and agency status meetings



•             Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management



•             Must have 4+ years of experience within an advertising agency digital agency or comparable digital experience at a brand

•             Must have strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal team relationships

•             Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

•             Computer literate, digital savvy

•             Team builder

•             Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented

•             Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required, Master’s Degree preferred



Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite – PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, and Adobe Acrobat. Previous experience working with a digital trafficking system a must. Experience in understanding and executing SEO best practices. Exposure and proficiency in Google Analytics, Umbraco and LifeRay CMS platforms, a plus. Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Javascript, HTML, etc. Experience of working with Graphic Designers on Infographics and Interactive graphics. Knowledge and experience with accessibility guidelines and development of compliant content (Section 508 compliance). Experience in understanding and executing UX/UI best practices.



Ability to work and deliver in a fast-paced environment with multiple assignments, multiple stakeholder
