Description:

Position Purpose: The Marketing Specialist is a pivotal position that is a part of the Marketing Communications team, which has a mission of supporting Health Net’s membership acquisition and retention in the California market. The Specialist will be responsible for the tactical creation and execution of Health Net’s brand/messaging in communications and collateral across multiple channels, including digital and print. The Marketing Specialist will ensure that marketing tactics are executed on time and with excellence to our business-to-business and business-to-consumer audiences.


  • Implement strategic communications plans and marketing initiatives in support of membership acquisition/retention, brand management and business relationship goals.
  • Lead marketing/communication projects/initiatives.
  • Produce and manage content for marketing collateral, communications and web.
  • Support sales initiatives, create b-to-b and b-to-c outreach materials. 


Skills and Ability
  • Familiar with branding, marketing and communications concepts, practices and procedures including campaign development, printing, messaging and brand continuity. Thorough understanding of marketing elements (including traditional and digital marketing) and market research methods.
  • End-to-end project management skills.
  • Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies
  • Video production experience including scripting, requirements, and filming/animation/production.
  • Email/text campaigns
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to proofread and edit.
  • Detail oriented a must.
  • Proven experience as a marketing specialist or similar role with the ability to think creatively.
  • Good personal organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize and use time effectively.
  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Team player able to effectively interact and work with various functional departments in a consultative manner as well as with all levels of management.

 

 

Qualifications:
Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. 3+ years of experience in an advertising agency, marketing communications or healthcare department. Healthcare and practical design (Quark, Photoshop, etc.) experience a preferred.

Healthcare background/experience preferred. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience a plus. Salesforce and marketing automation experience a plus.
