Manage internal and hotel communications globally for the Procurement & Cost Efficiency (PaCE) function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop communication strategies and implement processes, activities, and programs that result in consistent messages and timely dissemination of information, in order to increase awareness of PaCE’s activities and enhance organizational understanding.
  • Coordinate communication efforts with other groups so that consistent messages are being received by shared audiences such as internal teams and hotels.
  • Accountable for the writing, design, and development of communications (inside and outside PaCE) & supporting materials.
Your day to day
  • Accountable for end-to-end management of PaCE communications plans: development, design, writing, to support adoption and awareness for stakeholder groups (internal IHG & Hotel).
  • Manage communications and content development for PaCE to ensure a cohesive communications strategy regarding PaCE and sub-function strategies and / or initiatives and / or campaigns or other communications plans.
  • Manage the coordination and dissemination of global internal communications distribution process for assigned areas.
  • Review and/edit all major communications scheduled before distribution to employees and hotels
  • Content creation for organization-facing activity (e.g., eLearning rollouts).
  • Procurement content for initiatives and/or campaigns (e.g. case study or interview for GFPS reward & recognition programme).
  • Proactively develop communications bulletins, announcements, news stories, plans or strategies to disseminate key functional initiatives, programs and events to designated groups of employees and hotels to drive adoption, awareness and engagement.
    • Procurement content for GFPS channels – e.g. monthly newsletter, monthly conversation starters, leaders’ call, ad-hoc Town Halls.
    • Procurement content for regional corporate channels e.g. Americas Communications Bulletin, Denham news etc.
    • Procurement content for regional company managed hotel channels e.g. Hotel Bulletin.
  • Writing presentations & speeches to support CPO communications for conferences and events.
  • Develop content for PaCE meetings and events e.g. Town Hall, Virtual Summit.
  • Maintain and update content for PaCE communication channels e.g. Responsible Procurement SharePoint, integration support for with supplier site.
  • Point of contact for Global Procurement colleagues to instigate communications.
  • Provide expert counsel on communications best practices, channels and execution.
  • Serve as key partner to senior leadership and their teams.
  • Work with management to ensure communication tone and style are consistent.
  • Preparation of Data and insights to support communications reporting.
What we need from you
Educational Attainment
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in journalism, marketing or other related discipline.
Critical Experience and Expertise
  • 5+ years of communications experience, preferably with a focus on internal communications.
  • Corporate and/or agency experience working within a global organization.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Demonstrated exceptional writing and messaging skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking.
  • Demonstrated effective project management experience understanding the planning and execution of large-scale projects from conception through implementation and how communications supports these projects.
  • Proven ability to build confidence and trust with senior executives.
  • Excels in creative and innovative approaches to communications programs.
