Director of Enterprise Marketing

Job Description

The Director of Enterprise Marketing will conceptualize, develop and execute marketing campaign initiatives that support business goals directly related to the Four Star/Four Diamond-rated Turning Stone Resort Casino and its hotels, golf, spa, restaurants, nightlife, meetings and conventions, weddings/ catering, entertainment, and special events in addition to the expanding business units of the Oneida Nation Enterprises. The position is responsible for the functional development of a consistent and cohesive marketing plan, and the execution of effective marketing campaign management to accomplish the strategic positioning of being the number one resort and entertainment property in Upstate New York. 


Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing campaign strategies to increase sales revenue, attract new guests, increase guest retention, and enhance upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
  • Develop and execute marketing campaign tactics to include marketing promotions, advertising and promotional programs, special events and entertainment, and sales support.
  • Actively oversee marketing campaign management over the entire lifecycle of the marketing campaign from inception, to launch, to evaluation of result.
  • Monitor and evaluate guest research, market conditions and competitor data, and implement marketing plan alterations as needed based on market intelligence.
  • Analyze and report on all brand communication marketing campaigns and develop metrics and KPI’s to measure success of initiatives and adjust as necessary for all campaigns.
  • Execute departmental projects from the concept through implementation and closeout following appropriate project management methodologies, and provide effective organizational communication to other impacted areas.
  • Recommend media buying and advertising placement, with engagement in digital media including digital displays and social media integration.  Management of online presence, including maximizing ecommerce opportunities with business partners.
  • Implementation and management of the Resort Marketing unit budget.
  • Manage and evaluate the use of company brand standards in all aspects of Turning Stone Resort and Oneida Nation Enterprises operations.
  • Manage and direct Enterprise Marketing staff to include: recruitment, supervision, scheduling, project execution, learning/training activities, professional development and performance evaluation.
  • Maintain external professional relationships to assure the ongoing availability of specialized expertise when their services are required.
  • Participate in the new business efforts as directed.


Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience. 
  • Minimum seven years of working experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a Four Star, Four Diamond or higher rated property that includes a diverse set of amenities, a high volume of sales and budgeted marketing dollars.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain valid gaming license as required for Oneida Nation Enterprises.
  • Supervisory experience; excellent project management skills – highly organized, results oriented, and able to take initiative and lead projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team; ability to manage multiple projects and staff, including freelancers and vendors.
  • General computer application proficiency (spreadsheets, word processing).
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
