NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS COMMITTEE MEETING SESSION II: SOLID GOLD: THE NONPROFIT MARKETER’S GUIDE TO DONOR TRUST

We know that trust in nonprofits has been declining in recent years, but nonprofits fell behind businesses for the first time in the history of the Edelman Trust Barometer report. That was pretty shocking. RKD Group surveyed 1,630 U.S. donors to gain a deeper understanding of what forces drive trust. Our findings are—like trust itself—both simple and complex.

RKD’s recently published research will be shared in this session, exploring:
• How did we get here? AND
• How nonprofit organizations can build back up that trust with donors going forward

INDUSTRY ISSUE III - GROWTH OF YOUR AUDIENCE VALUE FUNDRAISING INNOVATION: HOW ORGANIZATIONS ARE LEVERAGING EMERGING TECHNOLOGY TO BOOST REVENUE

The nonprofit sector continues to evolve rapidly and fundraisers that adapt to changing donor preferences and emerging technologies are more likely to be successful in their fundraising efforts. By leveraging smart data, accessible technology, and new platforms, nonprofits can grow donor audiences, build stronger relationships with their supporters, and raise more money for their causes.

Leveraging emerging data platforms and technologies will enhance nonprofit marketers’ and fundraisers’ ability to know who donors are, where they are, and what motivates them. Join this session to learn how different nonprofit organizations are leveraging data, technology, and digital innovation to drive results.

1. Grow Digital engagement: Learn how a large, international organization continues to develop and optimize their online fundraising strategies to maximize return on ad spending in the face of cookie deprecation.

2. Grow Personalization: Donors are increasingly looking for personalized experiences from the nonprofits they support. Learn how an agency has partnered with Epsilon to use First Party Data, Third Party Data, and analytics to tailor communications to the specific interests and preferences of individual donors.

3. Grow Collaboration: Nonprofits may continue to explore partnerships with other organizations to maximize their impact. This could mean partnerships between nonprofits, or between nonprofits and commercial companies. These partnerships can help nonprofits to extend their reach and gain access to new funding sources.

4. Grow Innovation: Nonprofits will likely continue to experiment with new fundraising strategies in 2024. Those that are able to stay ahead of the curve and adopt innovative fundraising strategies are more likely to succeed in raising the funds they need to achieve their mission.

INDUSTRY ISSUE IV - GROWTH OF YOUR DONOR FILE FROM NEW LEAD TO LIFE-LONG DONOR: DATA-RICH STRATEGIES FOR ACQUISITION AND RETENTION

In recent years, nonprofits of all sizes and scopes have been asked to respond more than ever to natural disasters, health emergencies, and humanitarian crises. With this incredible need reaching virtually every corner of the nonprofit sector, it’s more crucial than ever that nonprofits build and continually nurture a robust donor file in order to maintain a growing supporter base willing to respond in times of crisis and support affected communities around the world. Join MissionWired and their nonprofit partners for a session that will dive into strategies, tactics, and best practices for effective donor acquisition and retention. Learn how compelling creative engagement messages, sharing back the impact of a donation, helped one organization turn emergency donors into sustainers; how innovative targeting strategies over tried-and-true platforms like paid social and search have driven unprecedented growth in new leads; how investing in cutting-edge predictive modeling tools to acquire the right donors ahead of end of year helped one organization raise 127% of their goal for EOY fundraising. This session will show you how to zig where others are zagging, tapping into less-crowded acquisition opportunities – and, most importantly, acquiring and nurturing supporters engaged with your mission to drive sustainable, long-lasting growth for your program.
