What Marketers & Fundraisers Need to Know to Prepare for CCPA & Protect Data Privacy

This event is over.

You have been hearing about this all year—“The CCPA is coming!” What does this mean for you in your everyday role? We know it can be tough to navigate data and privacy concerns. ANA’s Email Experience Council and Nonprofit Federation bring you leading practitioners’ tips, insights and advice to help you navigate the approaching deadline for enforcement of CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act). It’s about 60-days until the CCPA goes into effect – January 1,2020. Are you ready? This webinar will guide you through the final stretch as marketers review steps needed. This is not intended as a replacement for your legal counsel—you need to ensure you have legal review for compliance. This is a review of how to navigate some of the new obligations from a practitioner’s perspective.

 You’ll get tips on what companies and nonprofits need to know about CCPA:

  • Key parts of the law – how this will affect data collection/sharing practices and choices and access for consumers surrounding their data;
  • Hot topics companies and nonprofits are, and should be, focusing on; and
  • Domino effect as other states are following suit to ramp up data privacy.
  • Next steps at the federal level for the adoption of a federal standard needed to reduce uncertainty and costs for everyone!

This is your opportunity to get final tips and be ready for the New Year. There will be time for Q & A so bring your CCPA -related questions. Please stayed tuned for alerts through ANA’s government affairs team, the EEC and the Nonprofit Federation newsletters and updates as we expect ongoing efforts to curtail the data you need to accomplish your goals and objectives. r. This webinar is designed for marketers and fundraisers looking for practical advice and tips.
