Virginia & Beyond: How the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act Impacts the Data Privacy Landscape

This event is over.

This webinar will cover Virginia’s new privacy law, the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA). Though Virginia’s privacy approach is still evolving due to a study the state will complete on the VCDPA’s implementation later this year, companies will benefit from getting a head start on learning about their compliance responsibilities under this new law. Webinar attendees will learn about requirements the VCDPA places on regulated entities and how those requirements differ from obligations in other state privacy proposals such as the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). Attendees will also gain insight into how the VCDPA fits in with the evolving 2021 state privacy legislation landscape.
