Earlier this year, the FTC announced it would be making changes to the Endorsement and Testimonial Guidelines. The Federal Register notice was published on July 26, 2022. Comments are due on September 26, 2022.

The FTC is seeing comment on a number of changes, including to definitions, consumer reviews, advertising directly to children, and liability of advertisers, endorsers, and intermediaries. ANA’s general counsel, Reed Smith LLP, is preparing our comments on the changes.

At this meeting of ANA's Regulatory Working Group, John Feldman and Keri Bruce of Reed Smith LLP will walk through the proposed ANA comments and take questions from our members.
