ANA Regulatory Working Group: AI in Advertising Policy Principles

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a creator of value in the advertising marketplace. In recent months, the White House, Congress, and federal agencies including the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) have prioritized regulation of AI to seize on its promise in a manner that addresses risks, while calling for voluntary commitments. ANA’s goal is to articulate the principles and values behind AI in advertising and marketing. Such policy principles will serve as a guidepost for ANA members at the forefront of advertising, and as an advocacy tool with policymakers and regulators. 

Our working group, led by Chris Oswald, ANA’s EVP, Head of Law, Ethics & Government Relations, alongside ANA policy counsel Stu Ingis of Venable LLP, will convene on a regular basis thereafter following Labor Day.
