I. SANOFI -AVENTIS: AGENCY MANAGEMENT & PHARMA FORUM RECAP (9:45-10:45am)
In this session, Rich Sherwood, Sourcing Manager, Procurement, North America, Sanofi-Aventis, will provide a short recap of the discussion from the Pharma Forum held last November and then will discuss how Sanofi-Aventis manages their agency relationships. Topics will include agency evaluations and key performance indicators (KPIs), compensation models, digital asset development, and the management of PR agencies.

II. MEMBER ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION (11:00am-12:00pm)
In this session, we will open up the discussion to the committee to talk about top of mind topics and issues that procurement professionals are facing. Some topics of discussion will be production management, marketing efficiency and cost savings.

III. PROCUREMENT SURVEY RESULTS
(1:00-2:00pm)
In this session, Avi Dan, Founder of Avidan Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in client/agency relations and agency search, will review finding and implications from a recent study fielded among senior marketers and procurement executives. The survey explored the overall level of satisfaction clients are having with their agencies, and how it may be driving increased agency reviews. The survey also looked at such issues as agency compensation and the role of procurement executives in agency reviews.

IV. ANA PROCUREMENT TASK FORCE UPDATE & OTHER BUSINESS
(2:00-2:30pm)
The mission of the ANA Procurement Task Force is to define and elevate the role of marketing procurement and close the "gaps" on the value of procurement between procurement and internal marketing as well as procurement and external agencies. We will discuss the initiatives of our three subcommittees:

  • Procurement Mentoring: connects junior/less experienced marketing procurement professionals with senior-level marketing procurement professionals.
  • Procurement Case Studies: these focus on the value and positive contributions of marketing procurement. To date there are contributions from Toyota and Anheuser-Busch InBev. Additional case studies are in progress.
  • Procurement Webinars: The 2nd part of the webinar series for marketing procurement professionals runs from 2/15 through 4/25
