For September’s meeting, Loeb & Loeb will discuss recent (i) FTC and state AG updates; (ii) false advertising updates; (iii) NAD and NARB decisions; and (iv) state /federal statutory developments. Presenting from Loeb & Loeb will be Rachel Gartner, Ryan Martin, Robyn Mohr, and Libby O’Neill.

Rachel Gartner, Associate, focuses her practice on a variety of intellectual property, advertising and emerging media law issues, counseling clients as they navigate complex and evolving environments to bring new concepts, products and technologies to the marketplace, with an eye toward the big picture.

Rachel’s experience includes advising clients on advertising claim substantiation, product labeling and packaging, and various other issues relating to advertising, marketing, endorsements, social media and promotions. She also represents clients in challenges brought by administrative bodies such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and National Advertising Division (NAD). Additionally, Rachel helps defend her clients against class action lawsuits relating to false or deceptive advertising.

Ryan Martin, Associate, focuses his practice on trademark, marketing, promotions, advertising, copyright, privacy and other intellectual property matters.

In the areas of marketing and promotions, Ryan regularly advises clients on advertising clearance and claim substantiation, social media and user-generated content, sweepstakes, and contests.  Additionally, Ryan assists consumer brands and advertising agency clients in the drafting and negotiation of sponsorship agreements, branded entertainment and media deals, celebrity talent and influencer agreements, and the licensing of music, trademarks, and other intellectual property. He assists brands with trademark portfolio management and has handled internet domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy. He has also represented numerous clients in advertising disputes before the National Advertising Division of the BBB.


Robyn Mohr, Associate, counsels clients on a wide variety of matters related to new media, technology, mobile and digital marketing, advertising, and privacy. She also advises on compliance with various state and federal laws and regulations, representing clients in a variety of industries, including consumer products, telecommunications, internet and entertainment.

Libby O’Neill, Associate, focuses her practice on advertising and intellectual property matters, with an emphasis on advertising claim substantiation and disputes; promotions; trademark counseling, enforcement and litigation; and social media issues. Her clients span a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, real estate, consumer products, retail, food and beverage, and financial services, allowing her to draw upon a unique breadth of experience to proactively identify challenges and develop practical and creative solutions when issues arise.
