I. COMBE: IN-HOUSE CAPABILITIES EVOLVING, FINDING THE BALANCE (10:00 – 11:00AM)
In 2012 Combe took a new look at its in-house capabilities. In this session, Carin Zakes, Director, Global Content Production – Combe, will share how they evolved their in-house capabilities and the contstant challenge to balance in-house projects and those created with outside production partners.

II. ANA PRODUCTION TRANSPARENCY UPDATE (11:15AM – 12:15PM)
In the fall 2016 ANA convened a task force that examined transparency issues in production. The process to examine these issues was as follows: identify consultants/outside resources who have a perspective on the issue; have each consultant share their perspective with the Production Transparency Task Force; recap the key learnings and decide on a course of action, if warranted. In August 2017 ANA released their Production Transparency report. This session will highlight the findings and recommendations found within that report.

IV. A NEW METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ADVERTISING COSTS (1:15 – 2:00PM)
In this session, Marshall Garber, Professor – Baruch College, will share a financial method for significantly improving the profitability of advertising and strengthening the advertiser's control over agency operations and the advertising process. This application will enable advertisers to remedy many of the issues found in the ANA report on media transparency, as well as realize cost savings and greater strategic management of the advertising budget.

V. MEMBER ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION: USE OF PRODUCTION CONSULTANTS (2:00 – 2:30PM)
In this member roundtable discussion, we'll discuss the use of production consultants, in particular when to utilize them, how they can help your production, best practices on how to engage them, and more. Come ready to share and learn from each other! We will also discuss major trends, topics, and current issues members are facing in marketing procurement and production and which topics we should cover in more depth at future committee meetings.
