West Virginia Bans Seven Artificial Food Dyes

More than two dozen states have proposed legislation banning food additives

West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey this week signed a bill prohibiting the use of several artificial dyes in school lunches and food items sold throughout the state. The move comes less than a month after U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told a group of food industry CEOs that getting rid of artificial colors in foods is a top priority of the Trump administration.
