Warner Bros. Discovery Splitting into Two Companies
The cable outlets are jettisoned so the company can focus on its streaming channels
It's another big media breakup. Warner Bros. Discovery announced on Monday that it was splitting into two publicly traded entities, as the company jettisons its cable business and looks to grow its streaming channels. The divorce comes several months after rival Comcast said it plans to spin off NBCUniversal's cable networks including CNBC and MSNBC.
