STATE PRIVACY RULEMAKINGS IN COLORADO AND CALIFORNIA (2:30 – 3:00 pm)

THE LATEST ON FEDERAL PRIVACY LEGISLATION (3:00 – 3:15 pm)
There are now dueling privacy bills in Congress - one from Senate Commerce Chair Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and the other from Senate Commerce Ranking Member Roger Wicker (R-MS) and House Energy and Commerce Chair Frank Pallone (D-NJ) and Ranking Member Cathy McMorris Rogers (R-WA). While the bills contain similar provisions on preemption, a private right of action, and the use of data in advertising, there are a few differences. This session will provide an overview of the provisions ANA is most concerned about as well as where we're headed from here.

FTC ENDORSEMENT AND TESTIMONIAL GUIDELINES (3:15 - 3:30 pm)
The FTC recently announced it is seeking comments on updates to the endorsement and testimonial guides. ANA plans on filing comments.  This session will preview the changes the FTC plans on making.
