LEGO Education Wins Best In Show at ANA B2B Awards

Merkle B2B Named Best Large Agency

NEW YORK (August 2, 2021) —LEGO Education and Merkle B2B were the big winners in the ANA’s 2021 B2 Awards competition, taking home top honors as Best in Show and B2B Large Agency of the Year, respectively.

Other top winners included Charlotte J. Commarmond, vice president of global marketing for Ingredion, who was named B2B Corporate Marketer of the Year, working in partnership with her agency, Stein IAS.

Publicis Sapient won the gold award for B2B In-House Agency of the Year; UL won silver and Bloomberg Media was awarded bronze in the category.

LEGO Education and its agency, Doremus, won the ANA Members’ Choice Award for Best in Show, a new award, for a campaign called “LEGO Education: Hannah Rebuilds it.”

The gold B2B Small Agency of the Year award went to Retina, while MRM was named the top B2B Midsize Agency, both agencies repeating their wins from the 2020 competition.

This year’s competition included two additional new awards:

  • The gold level award for B2B Industry Sector Spotlight: Technology was given to HP for 3D printing in support of COVID-19 containment efforts.
  • The B2B Institute Icon Award, presented by the B2B Institute, went to Caterpillar, for “Cat Trial 9: PAC-MAN.”

“B2B marketing continues to be a driving force for business growth, and these awards illustrate the powerful and effective role B2B campaigns can play in the overall marketing industry,” said ANA CEO Bob Liodice. “The ANA is proud to honor all the award recipients and we extend our congratulations to everyone who participated in the competition.”

The B2 Awards celebrate overall excellence and performance in business-to-business marketing. The shortlist of finalists in contention for gold, silver, and bronze awards in the 38 General Categories and six Top Award Categories was shared at a virtual event last week in which all 143 award winners were announced.

The Top Awards were reviewed and scored by a select jury comprised of senior client-side marketers representing ANA member companies that included Blackrock, EY, SAP, Siemens Healthineers, and Zurich North America. The General Awards were judged by an online panel of almost 200 business marketing practitioners.
