Search has changed more in the past two years than it has in the previous twenty. Buyers are still asking the same questions, but they're asking them in different places. Some are typing into Google, others are asking ChatGPT, some might be getting an answer from Perplexity, or even Gemini's AI Overview. By the time a prospect reaches your website, an AI model may have already decided whether to mention your brand at all.

That shift has created a problem most marketing teams haven't solved yet. The old SEO playbook still works for one slice of the funnel, but it doesn't tell you how to get cited inside an AI-generated answer. Visibility is now shaped by how systems synthesize information, not by whether someone clicks your link. Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) focus on structuring your content and brand authority and consistency, so AI-generated answers reliably include your brand.

This workshop closes that gap. Built as a hands-on, introductory session for marketers already working with SEO, we'll cover the full visibility stack, how each layer feeds the next, and what your team needs to do right away to keep your brand showing up where buyers are looking. You'll leave with a working AI visibility audit for your own brand, a diagram that clearly shows how each optimization layer stacks that you can show your leadership, and a clear sense of how one or two changes will move the needle for your category.

To ensure an optimal workshop experience, it is recommended that participants have, or obtain, the necessary permissions to use publicly available tools such as Google, Google AI Overview, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini.

Who Is this Workshop for?
This workshop is ideal for marketers who want a working understanding of how AI is changing search visibility, regardless of their seniority or technical background. It's especially useful for:

  • Marketing leaders (VP, Director) who need to make budget and staffing decisions about AEO and GEO and want a clear-eyed view of what's hype and what's real
  • Brand and content marketers who write the copy, build the campaigns, and need to understand how AI models pick which brands to recommend
  • SEO and digital marketing practitioners whose job description is quietly being rewritten and who need a practical bridge from where they are to where the work is going
  • Marketing operations and analytics professionals trying to figure out how to measure visibility when the click-through rate is no longer the only thing that matters
  • Agency-side strategists and account leads who need to advise clients on a category that didn't exist on the agency rate card eighteen months ago

He is also the author of Explainable: Why AI Recommends Some Brands & Ignores Others, an Amazon bestseller on AEO, GEO, and SEO. His work centers on how large language models decide which brands to cite, and how marketers can earn visibility in AI-generated answers rather than traditional search links. As a facilitator, Jarred turns that research into practical training, showing marketers how to audit their AI visibility, structure content that models will reference, and build a strategy for a search world that no longer runs on ten blue links.
