Jeff Fromm

President, FutureCast

Jeff Fromm is a subject matter expert and professional speaker on consumer trends and brand strategy. He has worked all over the world – well, not Antarctica. His biggest achievement thus far is being cast as a backup tree in his elementary school musical.

He is a contributing writer for Forbes and author of four books: Marketing to Millennials, Millennials with Kids, Marketing to Gen Z and The Purpose Advantage (September 2019).

Jeff led the first large, public-facing study of millennials in a partnership with the Boston Consulting Group in 2010-2011. He has more than 25 years of marketing consulting experience. He serves on the Board of Directors at Three Dog Bakery.

Jeff graduated from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and attended The London School of Economics.


Jimmy Keown

Jimmy is a brand, consumer and internal culture strategist who has spent a majority of his career helping executives and organizations win inside and outside. He has found his way into participating on a reality television show, winning Barkley’s Entrepreneur of The Year, speaking at SXSWi and even producing an album. Not in that order, but it makes for a good set of ice-breaker stories.

He is a practice lead in the development and design of strategic service solutions and manages the delivery of large-scale change and transformation engagements for clients looking to reimagine their futures in purpose-driven ways.

Outside of the office, he helps entrepreneurs at the University of Missouri – Kansas City uncover and identify their purpose and strategic intent at their earliest stages.

Philippa Cross

Sustainability and Communications Strategist, Crossroads, a Barkley company

For over 15 years Philippa’s passion has been helping global brands bring environmental and social impact into their core to engage with consumers around a shared purpose.

As Senior Global Sustainable Business Director at Unilever, she developed sustainability programs for brands including Ben & Jerry’s, Hellmann’s and Knorr that delivered tangible business impact; increasing consumer loyalty and earning additional shelf-space at retail. These brands and others that form Unilever’s Sustainable Living Brands Index are growing twice as fast as other brands in the portfolio and fuel 70 percent of Unilever’s total growth.

Philippa has a Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and continues to be involved with the program, developing the next generation of sustainable business leaders. Philippa has lived in cities across Asia and Europe but now calls Kansas City home.
