Google Update on Responsible AI in Digital Advertising
AI continues to be top of mind for the industry, specifically how its wide-ranging impact affects consumers and the broader advertising ecosystem. Google was the first in the industry to announce a policy requiring election advertisers to disclose the use of synthetic media in election ads. But what about the use of AI in more innocuous contexts? What should be the threshold for disclosure and what are the tradeoffs? In this session, we’ll share an update on how Google is approaching responsible AI when it comes to generative AI ad content disclosure and highlight insights from new UX research informing our approach.

  • David Caragliano | Senior Manager, Government Affairs & Public Policy | Google
  • Jenn Shreve, Senior Staff UX Writer & Content Designer, Google
