They’ll showcase how their partnership targeted families and mainstream audiences through TikTok with a unique approach - treating select franchise film IPs like influencers and tapping other influencers to join the fun.

Rashidah Bashir, Senior Audience Development Director at Discovery along with partner Socialfly, will present case studies on how the entertainment powerhouse has been able to generate brand awareness and consideration for its programming through creative influencer storytelling on social media.

Nicole Schlegel, Vice President of Digital Marketing - Universal Pictures

Nicole Schlegel was promoted to vice president of digital marketing at Universal Pictures in January 2021, where she leads one of four teams within the digital marketing department. In her role, Schlegel oversees digital strategy, creative and social media campaigns, and provides creative direction on custom media programs.

Schlegel has been at the studio since 2007, and over the course of her career, has worked on such notable publicity and digital campaigns for The Croods: A New Age, Trolls World Tour, The Photograph, Queen & Slim, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, Girls Trip, Atomic Blonde, Straight Outta Compton, Mamma Mia!, Bridesmaids, Fast Five, Despicable Me 2, Minions, The Purge, The Best Man Holiday, and the Pitch Perfect and Fifty Shades franchises.

Schlegel graduated with a degree in English Literature and a certificate in Film & Video from Duke University. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.


Glenn Ginsburg, Senior Vice President Global Partnerships - QYOU Media

Glenn Ginsburg holds the position of Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships at QYOU Media. He is responsible for ensuring that QYOU Media features the best of the web in its programming line-up, whilst adding to its existing partnerships with leading Influencers, talent managers and agencies. He also launched and runs QYOU’s award winning Influencer Marketing Agency whose client portfolio includes Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures, DreamWorks, Warner Brothers and other leading entertainment companies. Under Glenn’s leadership QYOU Media has also become the foremost authority on brand engagement on popular short form entertainment platform TikTok.

Ginsburg has an extensive background specializing in digital, social and convergence media and branded entertainment. He has initiated, built and managed digital-focused businesses for media companies including Walt Disney Company, MTV Networks, USA Networks and Marvel Entertainment His most recent role was Principal at Alliance Content Marketing, working with top-tier brands to help them harness the power of social media stars and develop leading Influencer marketing campaigns that generate buzz online.


Rashidah Bashir, Senior Audience Development Director - Discovery

Rashidah Bashir leads audience development and editorial for ID and TRVL, networks within the Discovery portfolio. With a background in research and marketing, she has a passion for building brands and content strategy using creative storytelling and data. When not making content for work, she spends her time consuming content, lots of it. Her current obsessions are Married At First Sight, 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After, Call My Agent, and the latest season of the Serial podcast.


Courtney Spritzer, CEO - Socialfly

Courtney Spritzer is the CEO and Co-Founder of Socialfly, a leading social-first digital and influencer marketing agency. Socialfly helps brands reach, engage and convert women audiences on social media through content creation, influencer management, and paid media buying. Throughout Courtney's career, she has developed strategic social media plans for her clients and successfully implemented campaigns for more than 200 companies and brands, including WE tv, Conair, Girl Scouts, and Slimfast. In addition to her leading role at Socialfly, Courtney is also the Co-Founder of Entreprenista Media and co-host of the Entreprenista Podcast, a platform providing resources to women entrepreneurs and business leaders and celebrates their successes.
