Executive Summary

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented esports, one of the very few "live" sports made for social distancing, with both opportunities and challenges. Lock-downs and quarantining boosted esports fan engagement through the roof while drawing the interest of other sports looking for new ways to retain fans in the wake of canceled events and curtailed seasons.
