Resource List of Certified Diverse Suppliers for Marketing/Advertising

We have curated the Certified Diverse Suppliers list, initially published in July 2020. It is being updated regularly.  The June 2022 edition has 17 new suppliers, for a total of 413 companies. An Excel document that allows users to sort by column is also available. 

This list has been created to support marketers who are interested in starting or upgrading their supplier diversity program, a proactive business program which encourages the use of women-owned, ethnic/minority-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ+-owned, disability-owned, and small businesses as suppliers. The ANA and our Alliance for Inclusive and Multicultural Marketing (AIMM) have been active on this issue for some time. In support of this initiative, we have fielded several surveys and written a number of reports on the matter. Our most recent report focused on the certification of diverse-owned businesses, and we surveyed those businesses currently on our list.

  • On December 1, 2021, the ANA released the findings of our survey, completed by certified diverse suppliers, in a report entitled “And Now a Word From The Diverse Suppliers: The Supplier Perspective On Certification”. This report notes the advantages of certification for diverse suppliers and the ease of participation.
  • In May 2021, ANA issued the follow-up report “The Growth of Supplier Diversity” which provided a deep dive into supplier diversity in marketing/advertising, covering areas including benefits, challenges, spend, goals, and measurement. Finding diverse suppliers was identified as the top challenge for supplier diversity in marketing/advertising.
  • In June 2020, the ANA and AIMM published an open letter titled “ANA/AIMM Commitment to Equality, Inclusion, and Systemic Change.” The letter called for the development of an equitable creative supply chain through strategic investments in agencies, broadcasters, suppliers, and producers owned or run by Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities.
  • In May 2020, the ANA released the report "The Power of Supplier Diversity." The report highlighted that identifying diverse suppliers represents a significant challenge for marketers.
