The esports industry is valued at $1 billion and shows no signs of letting up due to the evolution of game production and corporate investments. The Cleveland Cavaliers quickly recognized this emerging trend and positioned itself as a first-mover to reach and engage with the sought after gaming demographic via investment and operation of multiple professional esports franchises, including Cavs Legion GC, the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA 2K League team.
