ANA CMO MarTech Mastery Series: Composable Architecture & Future-Proofing Your Stack
Composable architecture is often described as a technology strategy, but in practice, it is an organizational and cultural shift that changes how marketing teams work, make decisions, and build capabilities over time.
This MarTech Mastery Workshop explores what it really takes to enable a composable marketing technology strategy, focusing not only on modern architectural principles, but also on the talent, skills, operating models, and leadership behaviors required to make composability work in the real world. Grounded in the Composable Architecture chapter of The CMO’s Playbook for Marketing Technology, the session helps marketing leaders understand how to design stacks and teams that are flexible, resilient, and built for continuous evolution.
Led by Jasmin Guthman of Accenture Song’s Composable Advisory Practice and Danilo Tauro, Managing Partner at CartographAI and Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Co., this workshop examines how high-performing organizations are reorganizing around modular capabilities rather than monolithic platforms. Participants will explore how composable strategies demand new ways of collaborating across marketing, IT, data, and product teams; new skill sets spanning architecture literacy, integration, and experimentation; and a cultural shift toward shared ownership, faster decision-making, and ongoing iteration.
The session will address how composability changes the role of marketing operations, elevates the importance of cross-functional governance, and requires investment in upskilling teams to work effectively with APIs, data layers, AI-driven components, and loosely coupled systems.
Participants will leave with:
- A clear understanding of the organizational and cultural implications of adopting a composable MarTech strategy
- Insight into the skills, roles, and capabilities required to support modular, AI-ready architectures
- Best practices for fostering cross-functional collaboration between marketing, IT, and data teams
- Guidance on building governance models that enable flexibility while maintaining control
- A practical roadmap for evolving both their MarTech stack and their operating model over time
This workshop is ideal for CMOs, marketing technology and operations leaders, MarTech architects, and cross-functional partners who recognize that future-proofing the stack isn’t just about better technology, it’s about building teams and cultures that can adapt, learn, and scale continuously.
