Nightmare. Dumpster fire. Challenging. Surreal. These were some of the words and phrases people used to describe 2020. And while many of us would like to erase the past year from our memory banks, the world did see a greater focus from brands to become more purposeful. From taking stands on pressing social issues, to helping in the fight against COVID, to aligning with charities, brands led with purpose, drove goodwill, and made a difference in people’s lives.
