Speaking Essentials for an Inspired Creative Briefing (501) (Half Day)

(Half Day Workshop)

Workshop Description
Public speaking is a “must have” skill for marketers, and a creative briefing is merely one setting that demands a polished presentation. A composed speaker, someone who commands an audience with confidence and poise, projects leadership, inspires colleagues, and can propel career advancement.

The best speakers say there’s only one way to gain the necessary experience: practice. Yet practice is more than standing in front of a mirror and reciting your presentation. How do you overcome nerves? How do you know if you’re connecting with your audience? How do you develop real-time feedback skills so you can modulate your talk? Your image in the mirror can’t reveal these secrets.

This half-day workshop is about practice of a different kind. In an immersive “on stage” setting, you will learn how to let go of inhibitions using the techniques of improvisation. You’ll learn how to have fun while you win the hearts and minds of your audience. Improvisational skills build confidence and quick-thinking by teaching you to be a better listener and a better reader of your audience.

Led by a former advertising agency creative director, skilled presenter, and popular ANA workshop leader, this workshop will put you through your “think on your feet” paces and give you the opportunity to practice and enhance your speaking skills.
