Topic: The Legal Complexities Of Paying Influencers

The use of Influencers to promote brands continues to rise, yet questions and lack of clarity about paying for their work are pervasive. Are Influencers independent contractors or employees? Can payment be made to an agent or agency representing the Influencer? If they have an LLC, does it meet the requirements to be considered a true loan-out? What are the tax implications for the various payment scenarios?

Join two leaders from Extreme Reach for a presentation and discussion of these and other pressing questions relating to Influencers around payment issues. Stephen Robinson, General Counsel & Chief Privacy Officer and John Licardi, Business Development Director, Talent Lead, will provide clarity and insight based on brands and agencies working with Influencers who seek guidance from Extreme Reach.
