ANA Legal Webinar Series: October 11, 2022

This event is over.

Join us for October's ANA Legal Webinar Series with presenters from Squire Patton Boggs.

Topic: Machine Learning: Automated processing is the term often used to describe technology that businesses use to organize and make decisions about data and encompasses technology colloquially referred to as artificial intelligence and machine learning.  When automated processing involves personal data – such as through consumer profiling or in-store consumer experiences - privacy laws impose different obligations depending on the types of personal data processed, how the results of the automated processing are used (i.e., how significant the effect on an individual) and whether or not the decisions made involve human input.  Join a team from Squire Patton Boggs’ Privacy, Cybersecurity and Digital Assets group to hear about automated processing case studies focusing on legal guardrails to protect businesses from unwanted legal consequences. Presenting will be Julia Jacobson, David Naylor, Gicel Tominbang and Elizabeth Berthiaume.
