Reed Freeman Jr. is outside counsel to the Email Sender & Provider Coalition and an authority on Email Marketing, as well as on privacy, cybersecurity, and the privacy aspects of advertising online, on mobile devices, in social media, and on connected devices such as smart TVs. Reed has extensive experience defending clients in Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and state consumer protection investigations and data breach responses. He also counsels clients on compliance with FTC and state trade regulation issues, state privacy and data security laws, including counseling on compliance with California's Privacy Protection Act (CCPA) and the implementing regulations by the California General, privacy and data security compliance around the globe, and advertising and privacy self-regulatory codes.

Kerry Kent
Head of Policy | Change.org

Kerry Kent is the Global Head of Policy, based in London and looking after the team which works to keep Change.org an open and safe space for its users. The Policy and User Safety team writes, updates and enforces Change.org’s Community Guidelines and other policies and engages with regulators to ensure compliance with legal obligations for online platforms in all the countries it operates in.

Before moving to Change.org, Kerry worked for 15 years as a Policy Specialist for a wide range of media organizations including the Advertising Association, the U.K. Commercial Broadcasters Association and Discovery, spending some time working in Brussels and the rest in London. Kerry was a Primary teacher for 10 years before she re-trained as a policy specialist and she still finds herself using some of the skills of her old job, even 20 years after she stopped doing it.

Lisa Brown Shosteck
Director, Email Experience Council and ANA Accountability Managing Consultant | ANA 

Lisa serves as the Director, for the ANA Email Experience Council. EEC’s mission is to promote the effective and ethical use of email marketing through thought leadership, education and networking to drive excellence in email marketing and foster a sense of community among email marketing professionals hailing from brands, service providers, and agencies. Additionally, Lisa works with dedicated member volunteers on the ANA’s Ethics Committees to educate, mediate and promote ethical business standards, including managing the ANA Privacy Shield Program.

Mathias Ullrich
Manager Deliverability EMEA | dotdigital 

Mathias is Manager of Deliverability EMEA and is a certified data protection specialist. Mathias has more than 15 years of experience within the email industry and has been working in deliverability for over a decade. He’s is an active member of groups like M³AAWG, eco Competence Group E-Mail and German Association of Data Protection and Data Security (GDD).

Matthew Vernhout
Vice President, Deliverability | Netcore Solutions 

Matthew Vernhout is a digital messaging industry veteran and Certified International Privacy Professional (CIPP) with more than a decade of experience in email marketing. Matt is Netcore Solutions’ Vice President of Deliverability, and he is currently the Chair of the eec, after serving for several years as the Chair of their Advocacy Subcommittee.
