  • 2021 was a record year for ad spending; 2022 started hot but growth is cooling
  • Total Video Advertising (Linear + Digital) hit an all-time high. Digital Video accounted for a third of Total Video in the SMI pool last year, with OTT/CTV the key accelerant
  • Ad spending on Digital Audio (Streaming + Podcasts) is equal to terrestrial radio spend in the SMI Pool, with Podcasts commanding top dollars
  • Retail Media is the next big ad frontier, with Amazon dominating a third of market, so far
