Brand Purpose - Growth for Good

This event is over.

Introductions (11:00 – 11:15 a.m. ET)

Roundtable Discussion (11:15 – 11:35 a.m. ET)

I. Twelve, a World Made from Air (11:35 – 12:15 p.m. ET)
When Origin House began working with Twelve, then called Opus 12, they saw themselves as a “waste to value” company working to change the chemical industry. The brief from Nicholas, the CEO and one of the co-founders, was to make the brand meaningful to everyone and to do it in a way that matched the ambitions of the company and the “audacity of the path ahead” — to make a real impact on climate change and the world. Carbon transformation is a category and strategy created for the world’s biggest brands to replace petrochemicals in their global supply chains and operations. Carbon transformation is, like digital transformation was in the early 2000’s, a critical business imperative for any company looking to address climate change and create a climate positive world.

II. Ponysaurus Brewing: Fund for the Fabulous (12:15 – 12:55 p.m. ET)
When the North Carolina Lt. Governor went on "an all-out assault" on the LGBTQ+ community, Ponysaurus Brewing Company and Baldwin& quickly worked with LGBTQ+ charities and influencers to create social posts, videos, and a website to launch the Lt. Governor's "Fund for the Fabulous. "For the remainder of his term, a portion of all profits from Ponysaurus' "Don't Be Mean to People" beer go to support the LGBTQ+ community. This campaign was the LGBTQ+ category grand prize winner for the 2022 ANA Multicultural Excellence Awards.

SPEAKER BIOS

Emily Watson - Group Creative Director at Baldwin&
Emily's mom describes her as “smart,” but that’s usually followed by a word that starts with “a.” As a GCD at Baldwin&, Emily works on clients like Long John Silver’s, KIOTI Tractor, Zulily and Gaia Herbs. With a whole lot of years of experience, she comes to Baldwin& most recently from MullenLowe. Apart from work, she’s your basic everyday wannabe cookbook author, barking hound dog owner, tomato grower, pictures-of-her-kid taker, yoga doer, race runner, trailer hiker, tree hugger and, yes, smart aleck.

Sarah Voran, Director of Marketing, Cast Iron Group
Sarah Voran is the Director of Marketing & Strategic Development for the Cast Iron Group, a hospitality group based in Durham, NC that encompasses The Cookery, The Rickhouse, Dashi, and Ponysaurus Brewing Co. Within her role, she crafts distinct brand voices and oversees big picture and microscopic goals, all while focusing on guest experiences and the enjoyment in all things food, drink, and community. Before finding her dream team at CIG, Sarah worked with a myriad of startups and creative entrepreneurs building her all-hands-on-deck approach to marketing. When Sarah isn’t writing clever beer content, she’s probably on the couch with a novel, whipping up a batch of cookies, or finding a new house project to obsess over.
