ANA Regulatory Working Group: Green Guides

As you may be aware, the FTC recently announced a review of its Guides for the Use of Environmental Marketing Claims (the Green Guides). The review was announced according to the FTC’s decennial review schedule and seeks comments on the efficiency, costs, benefits, and regulatory impact of the Guides to determine if they should be retained, modified, or rescinded. It also seeks comments on specific claims, including on carbon offsets, compostability, degradability, and recyclability, among others.
Comments are due on April 24, 2023. This meeting is to discuss an outline of our comments and solicit input from our members.
