ANA Doubles List of Certified Diverse Suppliers

More than 200 Marketing and Advertising-Oriented Companies Now Included

NEW YORK (January 28, 2021) — The number of companies on the ANA’s list of “Certified Diverse Suppliers for Marketing and Advertising” has more than doubled since it was established in July.

The list, now totaling 212 entries, includes agencies and media, production, promotion, and research companies and was launched in July 2020 following an ANA report, “The Power of Supplier Diversity.” That study revealed a large majority (75 percent) of ANA members have strategic plans in place to hire diverse suppliers for their overall organizations, but only 40 percent have such strategies specifically for marketing and advertising services.

The list also followed a June 2020 letter from the ANA and its diversity initiative, The Alliance for Inclusive & Multicultural Marketing (AIMM), the “ANA/AIMM Commitment to Equality, Inclusion, and Systemic Change.” The letter called for the development of an equitable creative supply chain through strategic investments in agencies, broadcasters, suppliers, and producers owned or run by Black, Hispanic, Asian, Indigenous, and LGBTQ+ people, and people with disabilities.

“Last year the ANA and AIMM committed to improving supplier diversity and now our efforts are beginning to show results,” said ANA CEO Bob Liodice. “We remain steadfastly dedicated to our belief that supplier diversity provides opportunities for business expansion, drives competition, and promotes innovation as diverse vendors can offer new products, services, and solutions.”

Liodice added that the Certified Diverse Suppliers program is an important objective of the ANA and will continue to be updated on a regular basis throughout the year.

The complete list is attached and available at Note that all companies on the “Certified Diverse Suppliers for Advertising and Marketing” list have been certified as diverse suppliers by organizations which include:

  • NMSDC: National Minority Supplier Development Council
  • WBENC: Women’s Business Enterprise National Council
  • NGLCC: National LGBT Chamber of Commerce
  • WOSB: Woman-Owned Small Business
  • MBE: Minority Business Enterprise

Liodice said the ANA welcomes suggestions for diverse supplier additions, or for providing other ideas or recommendations, at The full list of diverse suppliers can be accessed here.
