Welcome & Introductions (11:00 - 11:15AM ET)

I. From the Ground Up: Building Authentic DEI within Marketing Teams (11:15 - 11:50AM)
Most marketing teams today grasp the importance of DEI messaging in their external campaigns. But what about the importance of true DEI integration within your marketing teams? Weak internal DEI buy-in can lead to inauthentic messaging and teams that lack true inclusion, equity, and diversity.

In this training, you will hear from Kelly Turner and Patty White, two senior marketing managers who heard the call for change and, from the ground up, created a successful, purpose-driven DEI initiative within their marketing team. They’ll share how they recognized and leveraged their resources, secured top-level buy-in, and grew the initiative into a force that’s actively transforming the team’s DEI efforts, authentically, from the inside out.

Speakers: Kelly Turner,
Creative Senior Manager, Plante Moran
                  Patty White,
Pursuit Strategy Senior Manager, Plante Moran

II. Read Banned Books: A Vehicle for Change (11:50 - 12:45PM ET)
Penguin Random House– the world’s largest and most internationally positioned of trade publishers– is taking the fight on the road this month with "Banned Wagon: A Vehicle for Change." The goal is to take the debate right-into the American South during Banned Books Week. Putting wheels on its “Read Banned Books” message the vehicle not only will showcase a selection of 12 of the publisher’s frequently challenged books but will also distribute free copies of those books to attendees in each of the cities in which the tour makes a stop. Don't miss the opportunity to learn more, about this and other Penguin Random House vital DE&I related initiatives.
